Looking to turn your reading into more of a social event? Can't wait to share your opinion on a book after you finished it? The Marmora & Lake Public Library may have the perfect book club for you! At the moment, we have 4 different book clubs running and new members are always welcome. Below are some brief descriptions of each of our book clubs to help you find the one that is right for you.

The First Tuesday Book Club

As the name suggests, this book club meets the first Tuesday of every month. The club has a book selected (most often a novel) that everyone reads and then gathers to discuss.

Non-Fiction Book Club

The non-fiction book club also meets once a month on a Tuesday afternoon. Participants are encouraged to read one book (or more) on the featured topic of the month. The club then meets to share what books they read, what they learned, and if they would recommend the book.

Good Taste Book Club

'Good Taste' is a new book club that brings together bookish discussions with fabulous food relevant to the selected author. Oh, and there is tea! Particpants are encouraged to read a novel (or two) of the selected author of the month. The 'Good Taste' book club meets every two months. The next meeting will be in August.

Artist's Way Book Club

Unblock your creativity with the program laid out in Julia Cameron’s landmark book ‘The Artist’s Way’. This club meets monthly on a Wednesday as they approach and discuss a chapter of the book each month.

We hope to see you at one of our upcoming book club meetings! If you have any questions, feel free to email assistlib@marmoralibrary.ca.
