The Marmora & Lake Public Library is lucky to have so many dedicated and generous volunteers. Diana shares her creativity with the library through the Mindful Expressions classes she leads every other Wednesday afternoon at the library.

What do you do at the library?

I volunteer as a creative art instructor, introducing various drawing and painting techniques, as well as providing a positive, mindful environment in artistic expression.

Why do you volunteer at the library?

The library is the centre of a community and can provide many important resources and activities bringing people a much needed source of wellness, connectivity, and it's FUN.

What fictional character are you most like?

Éowyn is a fictional character in J.R.R. Tolkien's 'The Lord of the Rings.' She is a noblewoman of Rohan who describes herself as a shieldmaiden. With the hobbit, Merry Brandybuck, she rides into the battle of the Pelennor Fields and kills the Witch-King of Angmar, Lord of the Nazgûl.
